High 72, Arlington Heights, Chicago Weather Forecast Northwest
A Tornado Watch was activated at 1:25 p.m. for most of central and northern Illinois, except the top row of Illinois counties bordering Wisconsin. The Tornado Watch is in effect until 9:00 p.m. when additional thunderstorms could develop in unstable air.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows storms moving southwest to northeast in LaSalle, Kane, Will, Cook and Lake counties in Illinois. The strongest storms at 1:40 p.m. were located in Kendall County, southeast Kane County, southwest DuPage County and northwest Will County. The most severe part of the severe storm complex is likely to move east of Arlington Heights, affecting Rosemont, Park Ridge, Niles, Skokie, Norridge, Lincolnwood and Evanston.
