Thunderstorms moving into the area are weakening, but we’ll probably experience some lightning and thunder — especially between about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and 1:00 a.m. Wednesday. No storms or rain expected during daylight and evening Wednesday. Expect temperatures to rise from about 52°F at 5:00 a.m. to 80-82°F from about 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Wind gusts, shifting from southeast to southwest, will also peak to about 30-34 MPH on Wednesday from about noon to 6:00 p.m. Clouds will be decreasing until 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, when partly cloudy conditions will exist the rest of the evening.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows a small thunderstorm cell developing just southwest of Arlington Heights and very large area of storms covering the most of the western half of Illinois approaching, moving northeast. The small cell is less than 20 minutes away (passing just west of Arlington Heights), and the larger area of storms is about 30-45 minutes away.

Breezy, with a southeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
