Strong thunderstorm development is not expected in the northwest suburbs overnight, but a Tornado Watch activated at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday is in effect until 5:00 a.m. Thursday for the nearby counties of Will, LaSalle, Kankakee County, counties south and southwest of Kankakee County, and counties in northwest Indiana. No rain or storms are expected after 4:00 a.m. Thursday.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows scattered showers and thunderstorms moving southwest to northeast in north-central Illinois and central Illinois. Some cells seem to be developing and some cells seem to be dissipating. The largest and most severe thunderstorms appear to be southeast of Peoria and could target Kankakee County and areas south and southwest of Kankakee County, and possibly southern Cook County, LaSalle County and Will County.
