HIGHER RAINFALL TOTALS FORECAST FOR OVERNIGHT FRIDAY/SATURDAY
The temperature range forecast for Friday afternoon is 65°F at noon upward to 70°F at 8:00 p.m.
If outdoor dining is on the menu, you better eat early. If you’re not finished by 6:00 p.m. you’ll probably have sprinkles — not just on your ice cream. Expect a downpour starting about 7:00 p.m. with total rainfall over 1 inch from 7:00 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday.
The best chance for dry outdoor dining Saturday will be 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with temperatures in the upper 70s.
Expect moderate winds from the east Friday, shifting from the southwest by 11:00 p.m. Friday and continuing from the southwest about 9-10 MPH with some gusts to 16 MPH Friday and Saturday.
On the plus side, nature is watering down the construction dust during downtown construction.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows a little rain over Lake County moving toward Lake Michigan, and this afternoon’s and tonight’s rain crossing the Mississippi River at 9:30 a.m.
