After a beautiful Sunday, we were were hit with a Monday afternoon cold front and multiple outflow boundaries moving from north to south. The cold front boundary was on the Lake-Cook border about 2:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The upcoming week looks full of showers with a slight warming trend with May acting like April.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) in northeast Illinois north of I-80 is clear. Rain headed our way from west to east is all west of the Mississippi River, except far Northwest Illinois at 8:39 p.m.
