Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:51 PM Sunday April 7, 2019 of a theft at McDonald’s, 1920 North Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender engaged in a Quick Change Scam while in the drive through of the restaurant. The offender distracted an employee while being given his change and convinced her she had short changed him. The offender’s Quick Change Scam was successful and he unlawfully accepted approximately $120 cash in incorrect change.
The offender is described as a male/black, approximately 30 years-old with a shaved head, wearing a white pullover style jacket. The male offender was last seen leaving the area in a black Toyota Camry with an Illinois license plate. The vehicle also had an Uber sticker on the back window.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Sunday, April 7, 2019 between 6:40 PM and 6:50 PM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 0:10 (hours: minutes).
