Sunny skies Monday are expected to bring our first day of the 2019 calendar year into the 70s. Temperatures could be much cooler near the lake because some Lake Michigan waters are still in the 30s, but strong west-southwest wind gusts developing about 2:00 p.m. Monday will hopefully push the cold lake air back over Lake Michigan.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows that storms and precipitation are no longer in northeast Illinois.
