CTA Blue Line Train Derails Between O’Hare Terminal and Rosemont

Chicago police and firefighters responded about 7:00 p.m. Wednesday April 10, 2019 to the derailment of a CTA Blue Line train derailed as it was approaching the O’Hare terminal. According to the CTA, trains are temporarily suspended between O’Hare and Rosemont. The first Tweet from the CTA was posted at 7:01 p.m.

Crews are working to provide alternative service while service is restored on the O’Hare Blue Line.

Seventy-three passengers were evacuated from the train. One 39-year-old female patient was transported to Resurrection Hospital with a back injury, according to Chicago Fire Department.
