The Bloomingdale Police Department is asking people to call 911 if they see a male suspect that matches the image they released of a male that kidnapped a woman at gunpoint in Bloomingdale.
UPDATE: According to Bloomingdale Police Department at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a suspect was apprehended and is in custody. A press conference with the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office is planned for Monday, March 26, 2019 after the suspect appears in the morning bond court. Certain limited details may be provided at that time, but the exact time of the press conference has not been released as of Sunday at 5:50 p.m.
A 21-year-old woman said she was abducted at gunpoint at about 4:30 p.m. Friday March 22, 2019 from a parking lot in the block of 300 West Army Trail Road in Bloomingdale. She said she was forced to drive to “a number of locations” in Glendale Heights and Elgin. The woman reported she was released in Bloomingdale.
Bloomingdale police say the man fled in a taxi to the area of Roosevelt Road and Clark Street in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood.
The suspect is described as male/white, in his late 30s, unshaven, with a thin build and receding hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark maroon hooded sweatshirt with white lining inside the hood, according to the Bloomingdale Police Department.
The Bloomingdale Police Department criminal investigation section is following up on leads in the case, and is working with the Elgin Police Department and the Chicago Police Department.
