Wheeling police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:03 PM Sunday March 24, 2019 to a report of a stabbing victim at a house near the intersection of Strong Street and 6th Street Wheeling, Il. Police and firefigher/paramedics arrived on the scene about the same time as police. Inside, police discovered a second stabbing victim and declared the scene safe for medics to move up to the house by 12:05 p.m. A second ambulance was also dispatched by 12:05 p.m.
Two patients were transported. At least one of the patients was well enough to walk to the ambulance. The incident may have started on Strong Street and ended on 6th Street.
Initial the incident is not confirmed to be a domestic incident. There did not appear to be a threat outside the house, but this is not confirmed.
