Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:24 PM Friday March 15, 2019 to a possible hazardous chemical in a house on Aberdeen Lane just south of Highland Grove Drive in Buffalo Grove. There was also possibly an injured person in the basement. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a person may be injured by chemical exposure.
Firefighters reported a chemical odor outside the home, and initially requested a hazmat tech response known as a HazMat Level 2. The investigation initially is pointing toward a possible Hydrogen Sulfide-related incident.
A MABAS Division 1 Box Alarm on Box #26-42 for the possible hazardous chemical in a house was activated about 7:50 p.m.

Winds are forecast to shift from the northwest with steady wind at 15 MPH and gusts starting at 27 MPH at 8:00 p.m. and diminishing gradually to 18 MPH gusts by 4:00 a.m.
A large response of hazmat-related rescue vehicles and fire support vehicles were dispatched at 7:52 p.m.
