Actor Luke Perry, who starred in “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Riverdale,” has died at age 52, four days after suffering a stroke on Wednesday morning, February 27, 2019.
“He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends,” according to Luke Perry’s publicist Arnold Robinson. “The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning.”
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were dispatched to Perry’s home in Sherman Oaks, California about 9:40 a.m. Wednesday February 27, 2019.
Luke’s medical crisis coincidentally occurred on the same day Fox announced it will reboot “Beverly Hills, 90210”. Perry previously starred on the original show in the 1990s, playing Dylan McKay. However, he had not signed on for the reboot, as did stars Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Gabrielle Carteris.
