Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:01 AM Monday March 11, 2019 of a commercial burglary at a construction site in the block of 100 West Boeger Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully entered a construction site by climbing over a security fence that surrounded the property. The offender(s) then made entry into a storage chest by damaging the storage chest and defeating the storage chest’s lock. Inventory of the items taken from the storage chest is still being conducted by on site management.
The offender(s) also unlawfully entered a site trailer by damaging metal underneath the trailer and gaining entry from underneath. Taken from the trailer was a television, power tools, and other electronics. Further inventory of the stolen items is being conducted by management staff.
The cost of the damage to the storage chest is approximately $1,500. The cost to repair the damage to the trailer was unknown at the time of the police report.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 3:00 PM and Monday, March 11, 2019 at 7:00 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 40:00 (hours: minutes).
