A woman in Louisiana was rescued by Good Samaritans who pulled her from her burning car to safety after she was hit by an alleged drunk driver (Anita Haley/ABC Good Mornign America).
A woman was sitting at a red light at 6:45 a.m. Monday February 18, 2019 when her car was rear-ended at Airline Highway and Highway 54 in Garyville, Louisiana.
Four men pulled the female driver out of her burning car. One of the Good Samaritans received facial burns.
Byron Gilcrease,John Lejeune, Byron Gilcrease and an unidentified man worked rapidly to remove the woman from the car after using a fire extinguisher to break a window.
Byron Gilcrease, who lives nearby, was interviewed by Good Morning America.
The driver that crashed into the woman’s car was allegedly driving under the influence and may have hit the woman’s vehicle at about 100 MPH.
