Naperville police responded about 7:44 p.m. Saturday February 9th, 2019, to a report of a home invasion that had just occurred in the block of 2600 High Meadow Road in far south Naperville. Upon arrival, police were told that two offenders, each wearing masks and armed with a handgun, entered the victim’s home and held her at gunpoint while gathering various items in the home. The suspects then exited the home and were last seen fleeing on foot from the residence, possibly westbound towards Route 59. Items taken included currency and various electronics. The victim did not initially report any injuries as a result of the criminal actions.
Police officers from the Plainfield Police Department, as well as a Will County Sheriff’s Police K9 unit, arrived to assist with an area search for the offenders in the neighborhood of high-value homes. The suspects were not found.
Both suspects are described as male/black subjects, approximately 6’0”, wearing dark clothing and ski masks.
