If you’re looking for a new TV, prepare yourself for an endless variety of options. From your most basic models to smart TVs and now to 4K TVs, there’s something for every household. Before we tell you about the best 4K TVs out there right now, let’s first discuss just what 4K means.
In the most basic sense, 4K refers to a display that offers four times the resolution of Full HD. 4K screens have a total of 8,294,400 pixels—the more pixels there are, the more detailed the picture. When you see a Full HD screen next to a 4K screen, you’ll notice that the 4K picture will bring out more detail and improved color, allowing for a sharper and more vibrant picture.

BEST HIGH-END 4K TVS …
OLED TVs have incredible picture quality, and the 2018 TV comes at a great price for a model of its caliber—making this a wonderful TV for a 4K lover. There’s less than a half-inch of black frame around the picture, giving you a full, uninhibited image. Its sibling, the LG OLED C8P, beats the overall image quality, but just barely—so the B8P is a much better option if you’re not looking to break the bank.
This is on the affordable end of high-end TVs and offers superb picture quality that competes with TVs that can cost twice as much. The color quality has tremendous depth, including deep black levels, rich contrast, and great brightness. The 6 series includes the Roku TV smart system, which means that it offers those 4K features that you need to get the best picture. The frame of the TV is a nice textured metal, which makes it look even classier.
This Vizio 4K TV option is a bit more of an affordable option compared to the OLED TV. The Quantum’s overall image quality is as good as any other non-OLED TV on the market. Comparable to the TCL 6 Series, this model is incredibly bright and its picture still gleams even in a bright room, though it’s a bit more expensive. The frame itself is super sleek on this TV—glass extends almost all the way to the edge on all four sides.
If you don’t want an OLED TV but still want its awesome features and image quality, the Q8 Series is a perfect alternative. There is a unique Ambient mode on this TV that helps it blend into your décor when you’re not watching. The TV is a bit thicker than other 4K models, but you can hardly tell that from the front. You still get a complete depth of black, a full spectrum of color in the images, and a smart system that lets you control the TV from your devices.
If you’re thinking about purchasing a 4K TV, make sure you do the research on which updated packages you’re going to need to get. 4K TVs are expensive for a reason—their beautiful picture quality and high-definition bring you to another world.
