Snow is approaching and developing a little ahead of schedule, and winds have been from the north instead of from the northeast as forecast. Snow may begin as early as 2-2:30 p.m., but will increase in intensity about 5-6 p.m. The greatest snowfall accumulation rates will occur between 8:00 p.m. Friday and 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Snowfall rates will taper Saturday afternoon, but will increase with Lake Effect snowfall rate increasing again by 9:00 p.m. Saturday and then decreasing by 6:00 a.m. before stopping by about noon Sunday.
Temperatures will steadily fall from about 30°F Friday at 3:00 p.m. to 11°F by Sunday at 8:00 a.m. East-northeast winds are forecast to be strong from 3:00 p.m. Friday until about 4:00 a.m. Sunday. The strongest wind gusts (33 MPH) are forecast to occur 9:00 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Saturday Night: Snow showers. Low around 11. Wind chill values as low as 1. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Sunday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 17. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
