Algonquin police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:14 PM Saturday January 19, 2019 to a report of a crash involving a limousine into the Fox River on River Road near the intersection of River Road and Wood Drive Algonquin, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics on arrival discovered a white stretch SUV limousine off the road near the southbound lane of River Road that was partially submerged front-end first into the Fox River. The rear wheels were still on the embankment next to the Fox River on River Road just northwest of Wood Drive.
No injuries were initially reported. Only the driver occupied the limousine. The driver may have been extricated out the tailgate window, but this is not confirmed.
This is an early report that has not been confirmed by police or fire authorities.
