Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:46 PM Friday January 4, 2019 of a vehicle burglary at 1600 East Davis Street Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders forced entry into the rear cargo compartment of the victim’s 1995 white Chevy truck.
Reported taken was a Minuteman carpet scrubber value $4000, a 15-foot metal ramp valued at $2,000, and five 8-gallon mop buckets valued at $100 each.
The cost to repair the damage to the vehicle was unknown at the time of the police report.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 7:30 PM and Friday, January 4, 2019 at 4:45 PM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 1077:15 (hours: minutes) or about 44 days.
There have been an increased number of van and commercial truck vehicle burglaries in the past few weeks.
