Vernon Hills police responded about 8:52 PM Friday January 4, 2019 to an armed robbery at Jared Jewelry 567 East Townline Road Vernon Hills, IL. Police received a report that three offenders were involved in a robbery with a hammer used to break display cases. Approximately $20,000 in loose diamonds were taken from the business.
The offenders are described as three male/black suspects, age about 23, all wearing black hoodies and black pants. The suspects are wanted for investigation of armed robbery and retail theft.
The suspects were initially described fleeing in a gray Chrysler 300 with tinted windows in an unknown direction from the scene. Updated vehicle description for the suspects is a light-colored Dodge or Chrysler minivan.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 8:52 p.m.
