SECOND OUTAGE FOR FACEBOOK IN 8 DAYS
Facebook and Instagram log-ins were slow or impossible on Tuesday morning about 8:25 a.m. CT. Both social media platforms owned by Facebook were experiencing issues from an apparent outage.
Facebook outages were reported from Boston to and Washington D.C. to southern Oregon. The outage map on DownDetector.com showed the greatest outage reports from the northeast United States, Florida, Western Europe, Norway, southeast Brazil, and Uruguay.
The outage was also widely reported on downdetector.com/status/facebook
Thousands of reports of the outage were posted to the DownDetector.com — a website that documents outages for all types of websites and social media platforms. Facebook users and Instagram users reported a “total blackout” of the services.
Users were experiencing Facebook pages that only partially loaded, or Facebook users were faced with the following message — after a considerable delay …
Sorry, something went wrong.
We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.
Facebook users also faced a total blackout on Monday November 2018 about 11:52 a.m. Service was restored following about a 30-minute blackout.
