Lake County Sheriff’s deputies and Palatine police responded about 9:57 AM Sunday November 4, 2018 to a report of a subject fleeing and eluding police in a vehicle at Lake Cook Road and Rand Road Palatine, IL. Area police received a report that an offender fled from police in a vehicle southbound on Rand Road from Lake Cook Road and was immediately involved in a crash with another vehicle just south of Lake Cook Road.
The suspect is believed to be in custody after the crash. At 10:00 a.m. Palatine firefighter/paramedics were dispatched to the scene, where they possibly assigned with a confrontational patient. The pursuit began about 9:57 a.m.
Police are not known to be involved in the crash, but this is not confirmed. This is an early report with no details or confirmation from officials.
