Libertyville police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:15 PM Wednesday October 31, 2018 to a report of a child hit by a vehicle by a hit-and-run driver at 206 Pond Ridge Rd Libertyville, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a motorist left the scene of a personal injury crash with a pedestrian.

The offending vehicle is described as a dark gray or black Nissan sedan with tinted windows and heavy front-end damage.
Initially there was no description of the motorist.
Initial report is that a child was hit by the vehicle. This is an early report and all details have not been confirmed by officials.
