McHenry police and firefighter/paramedics responded on Friday August 31, 2018 when Christopher Crimaldi called police to his apartment (undisclosed) for help with his sister. When police officers arrived, they found Crimaldi’s sister unresponsive. His sister was identified as Heather Crimaldi, age 45, and was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
An autopsy later revealed that Heather Crimaldi had heroin, fentanyl and cocaine in her system. Crimaldi was arrested and charged following an investigation, accused of delivering the fatal dose of opioids.
Christopher C. Crimaldi, 41, was booked in the McHenry County jail at 12:04 a.m. on Wednesday October 3, 2018, and is being held on $1 million bail. Crimaldi was charged with seven counts of Drug Induced Homicide, and was also charged with one count of Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
Christopher Crimaldi is next scheduled to appear in McHenry County court on Friday, October 5, 2018.
