VIDEO: Suspect DUI arrest and tow after minor crash on southbound Arlington Heights Road just north of Hintz Road in Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police arrested a suspected DUI driver 10:09 PM Friday September 21, 2018 on Arlington Heights Road north of the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Hintz Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police responded to a minor property damage crash in the southbound lanes of Arlington Heights Road, just north of Hintz Road.
Police transported the male driver of a red Toyota Camry in custody to a jail at a neighboring community while. A woman at the scene, who said she was a passenger in her own Toyota Camry, said she doesn’t like to drive at all when she has any drinks. She said she had a male friend drive, and that the male friend apparently had a problem with his license. The male driver was also possibly charged, suspect of DUI.
The owner’s vehicle was towed to a police holding area, and the owner said she has to pay $500 to get her car back.
Information about a court date and precise charges and/or citations is developing.
