About 328 ComEd customers were without power Sunday afternoon September 2, 2018 near Oakton Street and Vail Avenue in Arlington Heights.
ComEd crews repaired the cause of the outage by about 5:00 p.m.
About 10 ComEd customers were without power near Hawthorne Street and Hickory Avenue. There were two block parties in the area that carried on as scheduled. The power system was expected to be repaired by 10:00 p.m. but was repaired by 9:15 p.m.
The fire department possibly was only dispatched to one call related to power problems — an activated alarm that showed a trouble condition at a house on Vail Avenue south of Oakton Street.
UPDATE: Arlington Heights Fire Department Engine 2’s crew responded to a tree branch on a power line with a fire at 10:50 p.m. Sunday. ComEd reported 5 customers without power; expected to be restored by 1:00 a.m.
