Four people, including a toddler, were shot near State Street and Cermak Road in Chicago’s South Loop around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Chicago police, firefighters and paramedics responded just before 9:10 p.m. Wednesday September 19, 2018 to a shooting with multiple gunshot victims at Cermak Road and State Street. Initial report indicates that the shooting victims are a 30 year-old female, a 15 year-old female, a 13 year-old female, and a 16-month-old infant female.
The infant is reported to be in surgery at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago after she was rushed by CFD paramedics with a police escort up Michigan Avenue.
Chicago Fire Department secured the EMS Plan 1 by 9:27 p.m.
The victims are initially reported to have been shot while in a moving vehicle. Police are examining a silver or tan Nissan Altima at the intersection, which is closed for collection of evidence and investigation.
