Barrington Hills police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:05 PM Thursday September 13, 2018 to a report of a man stung by a swarmof bees at a house on Old Dundee Road near the northwest corner of Old Dundee Road and Hawley Woods Road Barrington Hills, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that an older adult male was suffering an allergic reaction after being stung by 30 to 50 bees that attacked in a bee swar. The person that called 9-1-1 also suffered several bee stings.
The scene is located near two major intersections — Route 68 and Route 59, and Route 59 and Route 62.
Information about what species was involved in the swarm was not initially available.
