With only seconds to spare, two suburban teenagers rushed to the rescue at a fiery car crash on I-88.
On Saturday, August 11, 2018 Lincolnshire Law Enforcement Explorer Program cadets Kyle O’Malley and John Schneider were traveling westbound on I-88 when a crash occurred in the eastbound lanes near Exit 123 near Naperville. The two teens stopped and sprinted down toward the crash, and jumped the median wall. The teens pulled a woman from a burning Ford Mustang and rescued her just before the car became fully involved with fire.
CB2 Chicago’s Suzanne Le Mignot met with the cadets, who returned to the scene for an interview.
