SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH & FLASH FLOOD WATCH
GOES East weather satellite shows a big blow up of thunderstorms as they head toward northern Illinois from Iowa Tuesday night. Severe thunderstorms are expected to arrive in Arlington Heights and the northwest suburbs by 9:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. The storm has brought one tornado warning in Milledgeville, Illinois (southwest of Rockford) about 8:00 p.m.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows a strong line of storms from about Milwaukee to Peoria area. A bowing radar echo, indicative of especially high winds, is appearing to bear down on the area from the McHenry-Kane border and Lake-Cook border on the north, to about I-80 on the south.
