The Arlington Heights Police Department will commence specialized traffic enforcement activities relating to the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” enforcement campaigns on August 10, 2018. Enforcement activities will include a Roadside Safety Checkpoint. The checkpoint will take place on Friday, August 10, 2018 on Rand Road and Beverly Lane.
Frequently the checkpoint is located on Arlington Heights Road just north of Interstate 90 near Guitar Center on the far south side of the Village of Arlington Heights.
Police officers working the campaign will be attempting to identify and cite motorists who choose to drive without using their safety belts, are driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or are committing other traffic-related offenses.
