As Amazon searches for a location for its new headquarters—dubbed HQ2—cities across the country have been trying to woo the tech giant. At stake: 50,000 jobs and $5 billion in investments.
Amazon has been searching for a second headquarters HQ2 since September 2017. Cities with 238 locations submitted their interest.
Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and executives led by Holly Sullivan are involved in the decision process that was narrowed down to 20 North American cities.
