Warm and humid with a heat index in the mid-90s and dew points in the 70s all day until about 7:00 p.m. There was a cold front lined up from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to the Central Plains overnight that is approaching our area today. The first cold front combined with a secondary cold front late tonight will bring in very nice summer weather Tuesday and Wednesday.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) shows two thunderstorm cells that were in DeKalb County about 5:00 a.m. and merged as the moved east into Kane County that will pass south of the northwest suburbs.
