Chicago police and Chicago firefighters and paramedics responded about 6:38 a.m. Thursday July 5, 2018 to a report that a body was found near the North Branch Canal near the block of 800 West Evergreen Avenue.
Police discovered a naked or partially naked body of a woman with a bag over her head near the Chicago River and near a cul-de-sac where Peoplescout — a human resources and recruitment company — is located. Goose Island is located just west of the crime scene.
The victim — age and identity unknown — was described as a female/black, between 5’5″ and 5’7″ and weighed between 130 to 145 LBS, according to Chicago police.
The crime scene is also located about one block south of PRYSM Nightclub, VIPS Gentlemen’s Club, iO Theater, and Whole Foods Market.
