Injury at street fight involving group in alley, Chatham Pl and Northwest Highway (US 14) in Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:05 PM Monday June 11, 2018 to a report of a battery victim injured in a fight in an alley near Northwest Highway and Chatham Place Arlington Heights, Il. Police were already on the scene before 7:09 p.m. when firefighter/paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help an injured battery victim, and were on the scene by about 7:11 p.m.
Witness at the scene reported a large number of people were fighting in an alley behind apartments near Northwest Highway and Chatham Place.
Over eight police units responded to the scene and several units left the scene with emergency lights activated, while remaining in the neighborhood — indicating they were looking for suspect involved in the fight.
Police were out with one suspect on Derbyshire Lane, just north of Mayfair Road. A teen male was sitting on a curb while communicating with a patrol officer.
An unmarked police unit was out with at least two other subjects on Northwest Highway near Donald Avenue — west of Waterman Avenue — about 7:30 PM.
Police did not comment about any details about the fight, and it is unknown what caused the fight, or if there were any arrests. It also unknown if any weapons were present at the scene of the fight.
Witnesses said several people were transported from the scene by police. Apparently no suspects were at large in the Stonegate neighborhood because police cleared the entire neighborhood by about 7:45 p.m.
