Gurnee police responded about 11:01 AM Monday May 21, 2018 to an armed bank robbery at NorStates Bank, 5384 Grand Avenue Gurnee, IL. Police received a report that two male offenders robbed the NorStates Bank in Gurnee east of Gurnee Mills, and just north of Six Flags Great America.

FBI Releases Images, Information on AK-47 Bank Robbery in Gurnee
The offenders were initially described as two male/black offenders wearing all black and black gloves. An update described the offenders as a male black and a female black wearing black clothing, black gloves and red masks.
Initially it was reported that one of the offenders displayed a shotgun. The gun was later described as an AK-47 with stock.
The offenders fled in a Nissan SUV — possibly a 2011 Nissan Rogue — that was last seen eastbound on Grand Avenue toward I-94.
