FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH IN NORTH BARRINGTON
Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded about 11:57 AM on Sunday May 28, 2018 to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash with injuries in the area of Miller Road and Oak Hill Road, North Barrington. A female passenger was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where she was listed in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the motorcycle was treated and released from Advocate Condell Medical Center.
Preliminary investigation presented a 2008 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, driven by a 62 year-old male of Mount Prospect, was traveling westbound on Miller Road. Upon approaching a curve in the roadway, just east of Oak Hill Road, the driver lost control and struck the curb. Both the driver and his 62 year-old female passenger of Mount Prospect, were ejected from the motorcycle. Both the driver and passenger were wearing helmets.
Lake County Coroner’s Office is conducting an autopsy, and the crash is under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
