Bartlett police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:36 AM Sunday April 8, 2018 to a report of a head-on crash at Il-59 and Auburn Ln Bartlett, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a head-on crash with one person unresponsive.
Battalion Chief 3 on arrival reports reported two cars involved in a head-on with extensive damage.
Battalion Crash 3 requested a second ambulance by 10:41 a.m. — Medic 2 was assigned.
A traumatic cardiac arrest reported, involving a patient in one of the vehicles, with paramedics.
Route 59 closed between West Bartlett Rd and Strearns Rd for extended crash investigation with Bartlett police and the Major Case Assistance Team’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team on scene.
The crash involved two small cars — a white car and a black or dark blue car.
A second serious crash occurred about 12:50 p.m. Sunday on Lake Street (US 20) at Sutton Road (Route 59) in the westbound lanes of US20 and near the ramp to Route 59 at the half interchange. The rollover, vehicle vs pole crash injured possibly up to eight people.
