Snow is indicated at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday on Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com), which shows a counterclockwise spin over northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. However, snow is not falling in Arlington Heights. Rain is indicated just south of O’Hare in southern Cook County, far south DuPage County, and Will County.
Snow accumulation will fall short of the 1.5″ forecast earlier in the day, and is likely to only accumulate as slushy snow in amounts less than an inch on grass and elevated surfaces.
Drizzle will change to light snow this evening, some slushy accums (mainly on grassy & elevated surfaces), mainly north of I-80. #ILWX #INWX pic.twitter.com/nK1kK2TSHz
