Elk Grove Village police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 10:50 PM Thursday April 5, 2018 to a report of a fire in a factory warehouse, home of Tiger Flex, 801 Estes Elk Grove Village, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a grease fire in the factory warehouse. Tiger Flex manufactures rubber products.
Engine 9’s crew on arrival reported heavy black smoke showing from the back of the building.
Engine 9’s crew reports water on the fire, and fire is out by 11:04 p.m.
Engine 9’s crew reported a lot of heat build up in the ventilation system, which was checked inside and on the roof.
MVU-1 was setup to ventilate the building.
Extra companies were released by 11:34 p.m.
