1) The approaching Low Pressure is forecast to draw in drier air from the east.
2) Air temperature warmer during the day than was forecast on Sunday with a high of 41°F from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
3) Approaching radar echoes will look threatening without actual precipitation or without as much precipitation as indicated.
4) Rain amounting to about 0.33″ in Arlington Heights is forecast to start about 3:00 PM with thunder at 6:00 p.m. and sudden changeover to snow at 7:00 PM.
5) Peak wind gusts to about 37 MPH around 3:00 PM.
6) Thundersnow possible 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
7) Start times for snowfall might be delayed with sudden peak snowfall occurring from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM and tapering off after midnight until 2:00 AM. No snow intro mix with the rain, just sudden snow beginning about 7:00 PM.
8) Snow accumulation for Arlington Heights and nearby cities and villages is downgraded to about 1.3″ of wet snow.

Tonight: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 8pm, then gradually ending. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 31. Breezy, with a southeast wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Tuesday: A slight chance of snow showers before noon, then snow showers likely, possibly mixed with rain. Cloudy, with a high near 37. South wind around 5 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday Night: A chance of rain and snow showers before 8pm, then a chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 27. North northwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 33. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
