Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:46 AM Wednesday March 7, 2018 to a report of a crash with injuries, Golf Road and Highland Boulevard Schaumburg, Il. Two people were injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on eastbound Golf Road between Higgins Road and Highland Boulevard. Police on scene reported one person with a leg trapped by 7:51 a.m. — Schaumburg Fire Department Truck 52, Squad 55, Battalion Chief 5 were assigned for the upgrade to extrication operation.
A fire crew on arrival reported a 2-car accident. Firefighters were immediately out checking for entrapment by 7:51 a.m.
A second ambulance was requested by 7:52 a.m.
Battalion Chief 5 reports two patients extricated by 8:07 a.m. and both transported. One person signed a medical refusal.
Eastbound Golf Road was backed up past Gannon Drive at 8:10 a.m. Units were starting to clear by 8:13 a.m.
The crash was also reported on Waze.
