Naperville police responded about 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 to a report of an armed robbery and carjacking in the block of 2100 Allegra Circle in the far northwest side of Naperville near Aurora.
Naperville police received a report that the armed robbery had just occurred, involving two offenders. One of the offenders displayed a handgun, as they approached the victim, who was sitting in his vehicle with his 4-year-old child. The offenders demanded the victim’s cell phone and keys to the vehicle. The victim and his child exited the vehicle and the two offenders fled the area in the victim’s red 2016 Nissan Rogue.
No one was injured in this incident.
The offenders are described as follows:
Suspect #1: Black Male, approximately 20-years-old, 5’5″-5’9 thin build, dark skin, dark curly hair, wearing an unknown color hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect #2: Black Male, approximately 20-years-old, shorter than the first suspect, wearing a mask, a hooded sweatshirt, and armed with a handgun.
In a release from Naperville Police, the department urges residents to comply with all demands, and not do anything that would jeopardize personal safety during a carjacking or robbery.
