Grayslake police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:21 AM Saturday March 3, 2018 to a report of a house fire in the block of 500 Stuart St Grayslake, Il. A fire occurred in the attic of a 1-story home. A neighbor called 9-1-1 when smoke was spotted coming from the neighbor’s home.
Grayslake Battalion Chief 27 on arrival reported smoke showing from the roof by 9:24 a.m. Tower Ladder 272’s crew positioned the tower ladder truck on the right side of the single-story home.
The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters, and no injuries were reported. Damage in the attic was significant, and the cause of the fire under investigation.
