The Dublin Fire Brigade responded about 20:00 GMT Wednesday March 21, 2018 shortly after the fire is believed to have started at the Metro Hotel Dublin Airport, Santry Cross, Ballymun Road, Ballymun, Dublin 9, Ireland. The hotel is located about 1.3 miles south of Dublin Airport. The hotel is about a 16-story high-rise. Images show the fire possibly involves the upper six floors.
Eight fire engines and two aerial appliances from Dublin Fire Brigade are on scene, according to the Dublin Fire Brigade.
About 150 guests, who were staying at the Metro Hotel have been accounted for, as well as those living there.
The hotel guests have been relocated to the nearby Carlton Hotel about 4 km north of the fire scene, and closer to the Dublin Airport.
Dublin time (GMT) is 5 hours ahead of Chicago time (CDT).
