Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:09 AM Sunday February 11, 2018 to a report of an auto fire in the 7th floor of the John Hancock Center parking garage at 149 East Delaware Chicago, Il.
Battalion Chief 1 reported there was heavy smoke on the 7th floor parking garage and that crews were having a hard time seeing the cars or having trouble with visibility on the 7th floor.
Engine 13’s crew was “third engine” and was assigned to the south side of the John Hancock Center.
The 2-11 Alarm fire response was struck out at 10:07 a.m. and the EMS Plan 1 was secured at 10:07 a.m. According to Chicago Fire Department there were no medical transports.
The address for the John Hancock Center is 875 North Michigan Avenue, where Chicago Fire Department scheduled a press briefing at 10:30 a.m.
A STILL AND BOX ALARM was activated at 09:14 AM.
A 2-11 ALARM was activated at 9:30 AM.
The fire response was STRUCK OUT at 10:07 AM on orders of 2-1-24
The EMS PLAN 1 SECURED was secured 10:07 AM on orders of 2-1-24
