Algonquin police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:01 PM Tuesday February 6, 2018 to a report of a crash with injuries and entrapment with an armed subject inside the car, Haegers Bend Rd and River Road Algonquin, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics responded to crash involving a carjacking.
Police requested firefighter/paramedics stage at a distance from the crash with injuries and entrapment because an armed subject was inside the car.
The armed crash victim was possibly a suspect involved in a vehicular hijacking — not confirmed by authorities.
The armed victim was reported to be conscious and breathing.
Police and firefighter/paramedics were initially called just before 9:00 p.m. to the Dunkin’ Donuts at 1319 East Algonquin Road for a female victim injured.
It is currently unknown if the injured female victim is connected to the carjacking crash.
