Police arrested Luis E. Arreola-Gonzalez, 24, of Woodstock, close to the Woodstock Walmart store (1275 Lake Avenue) after he allegedly displayed a weapon during a robbery and removal of a 60-inch Vizio television about 5:00 p.m. Monday January 22, 2018.
Arreola-Gonzalez was charged with aggravated robbery, obstructing justice, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say Shane O. Williams was driving a Honda Civic westbound on Route 120 when he attempted to turn left onto Crystal Lake Road in front of an unmarked police car. A McHenry detective, whose identity was not released, was driving a silver 2012 Dodge Charger eastbound on Route 120, approaching Crystal Lake Road when the two vehicles crashed.
Shane O. Williams, 46, of Wonder Lake was cited with failure to yield to avoid an accident, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, according to McHenry Deputy Police Chief Tom Walsh. Both drivers were transported to Centegra Hospital — McHenry.
Eman A. Shirazi, 42, of Lakewood, was arrested about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday at Water Tower Family Dental, 1496 Merchant Drive, Algonquin. The alleged adult victim is believed to have had a “professional relationship” with Shirazi, but was not an employee or patient, according to Algonquin Police Deputy Chief Ryan Markham.
