High 21 Sunday, High 24 Monday; Steady Snow 7 PM Sunday to 5 PM Monday
High pressure is centered over Chicagoland the midwest Sunday morning with clear skies, light winds and cold temperatures. High pressure will shift east to the upper Ohio Valley through the daytime hours Sunday as atmospheric conditions build for a moderate snow system arriving by evening.

Snow conditions will arrive in western counties by about 4-6 p.m. and covering the entire Chicagoland area during the by the 2-3 hours. First flurries might be seen in Arlington Heights about 6:00 p.m. with steady snowfall not beginning until 7-8 p.m.
As expected with colder temperatures, snowfall with a higher snow-to-liquid ratio will begin the snow event starting at about 20:1 (dry snow) and getting to a little wetter snow, but still dry, at about 15-16:1 after midnight.

Snow totals of 2-4 inches are expected throughout Chicagoland. A little of over one inch of snow accumulation is expected by midnight in Arlington Heights (slightly more to the west and slightly less to the east by midnight).
The end of the steady snow in Arlington Heights is expected about 5:00 p.m. Monday, but lingering light accumulation is likely to continued until Tuesday about 5:00 p.m.
Extended light accumulations after the main snow event are expected especially north of I-88 in Chicagoland.
No Winter Weather Advisory has been issued, because intense periods of snow accumulation are not forecast.
