McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies and Cary firefighter/paramedics responded Tuesday afternoon January 9, 2018 to a domestic disturbance involving a butcher knife and a laceration to a relative’s forehead in the block of 6300 Robert Road in unincorporated Silver Lake near Cary and Oakwood Hills. The injury did not initially appear to be life threatening.
McHenry County Sheriff’s Office says that Daniel Davis stabbed a male relative in the forehead with a butcher’s knife, according to a complaint filed in McHenry County court.
Daniel Davis, age 51, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and remained in McHenry County Jail on Tuesday morning, January 16, 2018. Davis’ bond was set at $100,000, and $10,000 bail is required for release.
Conviction of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon is typically punishable by two to five years in prison.
